Safaga/Safaga/Egypt - Red Sea

On fishbase and in ID books juveniles have a black belly with yellow to reddish/ochre bodies. This one is dark over its entire body. The marisrubri subspecies is found in the red sea (as name suggests), while M. bipartitus bipartitus is found elsewhere
