E. albolineata is known only from the Society islands, Line Islands and Tuamotu Archipelago. RFEI shows a similar fish as an undescribed species.

My memory is that these were larger than 2.1cm but the lack of additional lines on head argues against it being the rippled coral goby (G. rivulatus)

I have encountered many of these on many a dive but I have no clue to what they are. I am hoping that someone who is much more knowledgeable than I on ichthyology.
